Sky Masons was a Spawnmasons gape base built from mid-2020 to late-2022 and the largest base ever built on 2b2t.

History

Foundation

Sky Masons was founded on June 17, 2020 by l_amp, leijurv, and ufocrossing following the grief of COVID-2147. The location was selected by leijurv in order to contain as few distinct biome types in the base's area as possible, which was intended to be the first line of security for the base when it was later livestreamed. Many members (mainly l_amp), used Bombers to begin clearing a 1k by 1k area down to bedrock. These efforts were frustrated when firstly redstone plugins were changed that significantly reduced the effectiveness of Bombers, then secondly when the TNT duping mechanic that enabled Bombers was patched later September 2020. Sky Masons (which at this point had not officially even been named) was abandoned in favor of Chunk Haven.

Revitalization

ZippieDooDah was initiated into the Spawnmasons in late 2020 and was made aware of then-abandoned Sky Masons. He began digging at Sky using baritone on several accounts on May 10th, 2021. While some members began building before then, the initial dig was completed on September 11, 2021.

SkySecure

A meme concerning usage of the Sky Masons stash's sophisticated system, in comparison to store-goers shopping in real life

Grief

Humorous signs placed after Skyfall suggesting that Spawnmason proxy accounts were 'freed' from their 'prison' in the afk room
