Vae Victus was a base founded by Aodrael where he built with close friends of his from throughout the community.

History

The base was started as a protest against Fifth Column & Emperium, by aodrael & Pixelati0n, after aodrael left The Republic due to 'The Space Incident'. This was the same time that aodrael lied about his face and said groups continued to harass him. a1fastyellowgto cast a vote in The Republic to remove aodrael from the group due to this and other reasons. It was started as a non-group affiliated base, where friends could build whatever they wanted.

Construction and Activity

Pixelati0n and aodrael arrived at the location of the base in December 2024, and began working on the small town center.

Pixel built the large golden calf in the near the base, and aodrael built the floating steampunk castle. After some time, other players were invited to come build such as Sage_Mathias, SmackAttack86, and Max1mumChr1s, who all arrived and built there. Sage worked on a coastal area, while Max1mumChr1s built a dome in the ocean.

After some time, the base was found by a base hunter named gasolinecar, who took all the materials at the base, but returned some of them when he was invited to build there.

Destruction & Aftermath

In May 2025, the base was leaked to Fifth Column, and subsequently griefed. It was falsely claimed to be associated with Enclave by members of 5C after the grief, where they altered the signboard to fit the narrative that they were griefing an Enclave base. This was quickly disputed by base members who showed SS of the signboard prior to the grief proving that Fifth Column members added signs when they griefed the base.
