OldFreeWilly is a 2b2t builder who joined in 2015. He is best known as a co-founder of Valerian alongside HawkedOnFonix, where he held the title of Founding Father and Ministry of Truth in the base's Valerian Congress. He was among the most prolific individual builders at the base, contributing several major structures across multiple districts.
History
Builders Haven
OldFreeWilly was a member of Builders Haven, the large collaborative build project founded by Beardler in May 2018. He participated in the group's bases including the Purgatory series and Exposition. He is specifically credited with building "OldFreeWilly's mansion" at the Builders Haven final stash following Exposition's grief.
Valerian
In 2018, OldFreeWilly and HawkedOnFonix began using a remote location as a temporary building site together. When HawkedOnFonix later invited BigBatYT to join, Bat named the site Valerian. After the grief of Exposition and Builders Haven's disbandment, Hawk moved items to Valerian and invited the former Builders Haven members, growing the base into one of the most ambitious build projects of 2018 and 2019.
Within the base's Valerian Congress, OldFreeWilly held the title of Founding Father and Ministry of Truth alongside HawkedOnFonix and BigBatYT. He was one of the most active individual builders at the base, contributing structures across several of Valerian's districts. His credited builds include The Red Temple and Willy's Manor in Valerian City; Valerian Hall, Willy's Mansion (built in collaboration with Cloverfrost), in The Glades; the Dupe Stash Building in Downtown; and a share of The Hub alongside Hawk and Bat.
Valerian's coordinates were leaked by iTristan using the Nocom exploit on June 1, 2019, and the base was griefed by BigBullet368 and associates on July 22, 2019.
Later activity
Following Valerian's grief, OldFreeWilly was nearly absent from the server through most of 2019, with only four connections recorded that year. He returned briefly in 2024, connecting regularly across January and February before going quiet again. His six total deaths over nearly a decade of play reflect a cautious, non-combat playstyle consistent with a dedicated builder.
