Lunch_Katsu is a 2b2t builder and content creator who joined in 2020. He is known for his cinematics of bases and player interviews, and has been a member of the Astral Brotherhood, Guardsmen, and Shortbus Caliphate, among others.
History
Early days
Lunch_Katsu joined 2b2t in June 2020 as a new player, with early chat logs showing him asking basic questions about the server and working out how to escape spawn. Within months he had become involved with the building community, co-starting The Autumn Drain project alongside 0Channy in October 2020, which aimed to repair the original Drain from its ruins. What began as a small project grew into a large collaborative effort with many builders from across the server's groups, eventually becoming the largest reconstruction of a griefed base in 2b2t history. The base was self-griefed by its builders on December 18, 2020 after Armorsmith began griefing and leaking the coordinates.
Guardsmen and Shortbus Caliphate
Lunch_Katsu became a member of both the Guardsmen and the Shortbus Caliphate. Through these groups he built at several spawn bases in 2021, including Adamantium, the large Guardsmen and Shortbus Caliphate collaborative spawnbase founded by orsond and Joey_Coconut on December 31, 2020, where he built a tower, and later Mediano, where he built a pyramid that was one of the base's notable builds. He also produced a cinematic of Mediano. He was a member of Halicarnassus, a million base inhabited by Crimson and Shortbus Caliphate members, and Fort Joe.
He also built at Poppy Town's second iteration in 2021 alongside I_tri, bread_loafs, hinterhof, iAmZeiss, bluebirdx, and y_a_t_a, after I_tri discovered the abandoned base.
Whitehaven
Joey_Coconut invited Lunch_Katsu to Whitehaven during the explosion of activity that followed Chiyun2b's discovery of the base in May 2021. Lunch_Katsu built his flower there in the roughly two and a half weeks of frenzied building that followed before the base's members burned out. The base was griefed on June 16, 2021 after jared2013 leaked the coordinates.
Astral Brotherhood
Lunch_Katsu became a member of the Astral Brotherhood and was one of its Solarium-ranked members. He built at Chunk Haven and was among the 104 members of the Rat House.
At Nautilus, the Astral drain base, Lunch_Katsu was invited alongside 0Channy following the grief of Okab, as both were leaders of The Autumn Drain group. He continued building at the base, constructing towers and a serpent alongside SCR3WBALL7030 and Enchoseon before participating in the self-grief on January 29, 2022. He also built at the third iteration of Poppy Town as part of the Astral Brotherhood.
He built the terraform at Lidenbrock alongside r22r, xrayessay, YoMoBoYo, and cpybara. The base was griefed on June 25, 2022 after Steampunkjax leaked it. He was also a member of Sky Masons and Spawn Migration, where he built an ATAT. At Dubrovnik, he built an unfinished windmill.
Midnight Council
Lunch_Katsu was among the members of the Midnight Council, an exclusive group founded by HermeticLock in December 2022 that convened once a year to build together.
Content creation
Lunch_Katsu has produced cinematics for several bases, including Mediano and Nautilus. He has also conducted and published player interviews, including one with Franknificant covering his experiences on the server.
