The Bookhood is a group founded on January 1, 2021 by former high-ranking members of the Infinity Incursion. As stated by their motto, the Bookhood is one of the more exclusive groups on the server, with most of their actions done distanced from competition or drama with other groups or players
The Bookhood aims to collect as many signed books from individual players as possible, but also has participated in other activities such as hosting events and building bases.
History
The group was originally created in private within the inner-circle of the Infinity Incursion in private on January 1, 2021, and remained a secret until the old Infinity Incursion discord was turned in to Bookhood's public discord on November 11, 2021. Much of the group's activity is on other games outside of Minecraft.
Spookbases
Continuing a tradition started in the Infinity Incursion, the Bookhood builds a Halloween themed base known as 'Spookbase' to hold Halloween themed minigames and activities, to be abandoned after the season. Spookbases 1-5 were organized under Infinity Incursion, while 6 and 7 were held under Bookhood.
Akibahoods
Akibahoods was a large event base built in collaboration with the Japanese Army[1]. The base was led by BachiBachBach, Cityboss1, and EnigmA__008, featuring many minigame-related builds that were eventually livestreamed by Fastvincent1[2]. In total, there were over 100 participants until the base was griefed by Pixelati0n.
2b2t Event Discord
While not officially affiliated with the group, the 2b2t Event Discord is primarily ran by members of the Bookhood. This discord is where the 2b2t logo on r/place was organized, as well as the in-game '2b2t Oscars' event.
r/place 2022
In April of 2022, Reddit held a sequel to their popular 2017 'r/place' event that allowed users from different communities to place pixels on a large, blank canvas. Through the 2b2t Event Discord, members of the Bookhood would gather a large amount of players to come together to build the 2b2t logo on the canvas. Due to planning in advance, the 2b2t logo was one of the first logos to appear on the canvas and lasted through the entire duration of the event with minimal vandalism.[3] Below the logo, the group defended a small black box in which they would utilize to write things such as "2b is full.", "2b is back", as well as a live-updating queue display ran by bots and API.
