SpawnQuarium was a community event hosted by The Ancients through the Spawn Migration Group. The event was held in the Watercube at spawn, and had the theme "Aquarium". The event lasted for almost a month, with many players contributing to the event, and many different groups such as Spawn Builders Association, Astral Brotherhood and SpawnMasons.

History

Foundation

The idea behind SpawnQuarium first came up after YoMoBoYo helped construct a large anglerfish inside the watercube at spawn in 2022. He had a vision of the watercube being filled with lots of different builds, ranging from different types of fish, to underwater ships. After consulting with his group, The Ancients, they decided to give this a try.

With the help of Joey Coconut, they brought together a ton of builders from all different groups, and started slowly announcing the idea, and the plan.

Construction

Building started 10th of March, and the starting point for the builds were around the big obsidian anglerfish. Only 4 days in, and there was already over 50+ fishes built, and it wasn't slowing down. During the time of building, RulesOff decided to build a website which contained a webmap of the water cube, and all the builds that was built. [1]He would keep on adding all the new builds over the time of the event.

The event ended with a spleef area made by xrayessay and YoMoBoYo. After two weeks of building, over 100 builds were made, with 42 different builders. A final video showcasing all the builds was also released at this time. [2]Even though the event ended, builders still kept on adding new fishes and builds to the Aquarium.

Grief

Oweing to the base's placement underwater, with all builds also being filled with water, it was not griefed and continues to stand well after the event almost untouched.
