pYr01v1aniac (pronounced pyromaniac), colloquially known as pyro, was a player who joined in December 2010 and for many years was recognized as the oldest or one of the oldest players to regularly play, before quitting in 2017 after the removal of Veteran Queue.
History
PreJune
pYr01v1aniac joined 2b2t in December 2010 after discovering the server through 4chan.[1] Within his first few hours on the server, pYr01v1aniac escaped the 0,0 region and established his first base approximately 2,500 blocks from Spawn. The base, named Farpoint (ironically, as it was near Spawn), consisted of a smoothstone and wood villa-style structure with a garden enclosed by fencing. It served as a temporary waypoint for passing new players for a few weeks after before being griefed.[2] He moved from there prior and based with passie05 as part of a group. They constructed an underwater base with a mob grinder, approximately 1,000 blocks from Spawn, which lasted for two months before being discovered and griefed. Most of their duped diamond blocks were lost, although pYr01v1aniac retained three stacks, which he carried with him.[2] He later moved to the +X, -Z quadrant, settling approximately 20,000 blocks from Spawn and constructing Farpoint Mk2, which was designed as a larger and more complex homage to the original. He stayed there several months before leaving after finding a nearby base.[2]
Valinor
pYr01v1aniac stated that he never became deeply involved in the broader server culture, which he believed contributed to his longevity on 2b2t.[3] He primarily based alone, although he occasionally collaborated with others.[4] He joined in on Team Veteran in 2016, and then he based at Valinor with Sniper231996, Myne1001, Sage_Mathias, faildev, and other players in 2017. He became inactive in October 2017 after Veteran Queue was removed.[5] He briefly continued at Valinor after on a shared account so that he could finish his in-progress builds, but he otherwise moved to Constantiam for a time before generally stepping away from anarchy Minecraft altogether.
