The Monastery was a base founded in late 2012 by marcus4761, asobl97, and ttfractal44. The three aforementioned players had all joined the server for the first time earlier in the year, and established an undeground base they called "The Bunker." After an unknown player was spotted nearby the base's nether portal, it was agreed that the base would be abandoned and a new location found for settlement. The location that would eventually become the monastery was found by marcus4761 approximately 15k away in the overworld from the original base. | |||

The three aforementioned players had all joined the server for the first time earlier in the year, and established an undeground base they called "The Bunker." After an unknown player was spotted nearby the base's nether portal, it was agreed that the base would be abandoned and a new location found for settlement.
