Steampunkjax is a builder, basehunter and griefer, who has been involved in many projects and groups over his time playing 2b2t.

History

Early History

Steampunkjax joined 2b2t in December 2019 but played infrequently for the next eight months. During this time, he explored the server, hunted for stashes, and built small bases and outposts. It wasn't until mid-2020 that he began to play regularly after joining the Infinity Incursion and Fight Club discord servers. Through these groups, he participated in community events and developed his skills and knowledge of the server. When the Tenth Incursion started, Steampunkjax was an active participant and helped place enchantment tables at nether spawn, which played an instrumental role in the Incursion's success. After the conclusion of the Tenth Incursion, Steampunkjax joined the SBC. During his time in the group, he contributed to building projects at various locations, including The Calculator, The Calculator 2, Halicarnassus and Gaza. While Steampunkjax was in SBC, he received an invitation from bread_loafs to join the NFE Rebuild project. This project marked the beginning of Steampunkjax's interest in the history of 2b2t and the collection of old and rare collectables and locations from 2b2t's history. Following this in early January of 2021, Steampunkjax received an invitation from Joey_Coconut to visit The Guardsmen's Newest base, Adamantium.

In the following months, Steampunkjax became an enthusiastic participant in several collaborative bases and was officially initiated into the Guardsmen in September of 2021 at Menegroth. In early October 2021, a majority of his close base-mates decided to leave the Guardsmen due to internal issues. Despite this, Steampunkjax who had been recently promoted to leadership, decided to stay and try to keep the group active. Some members of the group were unhappy with his position and wanted to remove him from his role. When Steampunkjax was made aware of the leaked chat logs, which contained negative comments against him, he decided to make the difficult decision to leave the Guardsmen, due to the lack respect and communication from certain members.

Astral Brotherhood, Donfuer and the 2b2t Party Commitee

In August 2021, Steampunkjax received an invitation from Joey_Coconut to join the Astral Brotherhood the nascent Astral Brotherhood along with a variety of other players. He accepted the invitation and quickly became an active member, attending every base and contributing to the group's efforts at bases such as Poppy Town, Nautilus, Okab and would found Capybara Castle. Around the same time, Steampunkjax was also invited to join DonFuer, another prominent building group on the server. He promptly accepted and began building at DonFuer 22, pouring his creative energy into the project until its eventual end in December 2021. In the months that followed, Steampunkjax took a step back from the Astral Brotherhood to focus on personal projects, base hunting, and historical exploration.

The Backstreet Boys

Steampunkjax's Banner

Due to some issues Steampunkjax had with some players he had been basing with, along with wanting a change, he become an insider for BSB. Over the following summer, he would leak, grief and steal from bases across the server and many different groups. In total he leaked 30 bases from groups such as Donfuer, Astral Brotherhood, SBA and other player projects. At the end of the summer, Steampunkjax was found out as an insider, and went public as a Member of The Backstreet Boys, and would officially become a member of the group on August 23rd 2022. He would continue to contribute to the group at griefs, bases, and projects for BSB. Due to his immense trust, he was invited to participate in The Final Dupe on 1.12.2, and Dofnear due to BSB's collaboration with the Brownmen.
